{"id":149,"date":"2020-09-12T20:56:08","date_gmt":"2020-09-12T20:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wave.be\/?p=149"},"modified":"2020-09-12T22:45:41","modified_gmt":"2020-09-12T22:45:41","slug":"scifivrt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wave.be\/index.php\/2020\/09\/12\/scifivrt\/","title":{"rendered":"Scifi@VRT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In these strange Covid19 times, I wanted to pimp the visual aspect of the MS Teams and Zoom meetings I typically sit through these days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using OBSstudio and a kinect2, you can use custom videos as a greenkey background for all your videoconf stuff (through virtualcam) which makes for more interesting eyecandy than your usual static boring backgrounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through modelling, animation and rendering with #B3D Blender (fantastic program, love EEVEE btw) and the use of several movie 3D assets, I created a video that should look familiar to anyone that visited the VRT site once and it certainly is a very familiar sight for my working colleagues. Ofcourse,  I also learned a thing or two about blender along the way ;-).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time it is also a nice roundup of several SciFi movies that will always keep me inspired&#8230;..
